Well I just heard from the two great alligator hunters. Sounds like they finally figured out how to do it right. Will not give away the rest. Said they are part of the evacuees trying to get off the coast and traffic is horrendous.

I donated the skin from mine back to TP&W for them to sell to help fund the youth hunts they have. Picou kept his hide, you will have to get him to get you some things made.

I paid to have it skinned. Also, I "let" mike take all the meat so he could trim the fat off and bag it. He will bring it to Capote for the hunt next month. Of course this will probably cost me at least 1/2 the meat knowing how he is....

Wes, I just got off the phone with skulls unlimited and it will be $8.00/inch for the first 10" and then $12/inch there after. I have not measured the skulls yet but they should be shipped out on Monday.

I have not started cutting up the meat yet, but you can bet that I will cut my meat up first and give you what is left over... :-)

You should know me better than that, you will get as much as is yours as I can possibly tell. I have a feeling my saturday is pretty much shot w/ cleaning/packaging gator meat.

Chicken, Wade is right. This was a TPWD public draw hunt.

BTW, I will resize all the pics and post a story soon.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

no tag this year. Last year you had to buy one, it was like $40 or something like that.

It cost us $3.00 for the application fee. Once we were drawn it was $75 each for the hunt fee. We did not have to have an alligator license this year as in previous years. The CITES tag that is used to tag the gator is provided by TPWD and you must return it if you do not harvest a gator on the hunt. It is a 2 day hunt (really a noon - noon hunt) and you cannot be on the water after dark -- off the water by 6:30pm day 1 and you could go back out at 6:30am to check lines and be off the water by noon day 2.

Wes, I still owe you for the motel.
