Good news is we're leaving for Kansas in the morning. Bad news is they are calling for a high of 86 tomorrow. Looks like a cold front will come through on Wednesday and hopefully improve things. I hope to have a good report when I get back on Saturday. Till Saturday......

Good luck. I was in NW Oklahoma this weekend and the bucks were chasing does. The rut is starting.

Hot/windy weather made for tough hunting. We all had shots at younger deer but passed hoping the big ones would come out. We ended up bringing home 1 doe shot by my buddy david beshears. We're thinking about going back in December for another shot. Just have to see how things work out. I'll try to post some pics later. Off to bed for now.

I didn't take to many pics, but did manage to snap a few.
The wind made it tough for a campfire so we had to come up with a windbreak. An old table was found and served as the break.

Next is the poorboys cooking shot. Our Oscar Mayer prime ribs tasted pretty good though.

Next is the big doe kille by David.

Last is just a shot from in the cabin.

Sounds like ya'll had a great time dispite the deer cooperation. Congrats to David on harvesting the doe. I think ya'll should try and make one more go at it this year. The drive is closer than South Texas and the potential for a great deer is there.

Thanks for sharing with us Tex.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Just looked at the weather report for this week. This would have been a better week for us to have been up there. Such is hunting. Hey Mark, you ready to load up?
