Hey folks, my partner and my sweetheart landed a monster at Palestine this weekend. It weighted 8.67lbs she caught her on a Terminator spinner bait in 5ft around some docks. You should have seen the smile on her face. I was freaking out over the size of this fish. I think I was the one having heart failure when I netted the lunker. Look’s like she'll also have big bass for the year in the club. On Saturday at 10:00am we broke a trolling motor steering cable when we were miles north in the timber, needless to say it was 2:00pm before we got it repaired and back on the water. We ended up with a big fat ZERO’s. Sunday worked out a lot better, I had 5 @14.20lbs and she had 3 @ 12.30lbs We ended up taking 1st place for the weekend. I neve would have believed that Palestine had a fish that size in it. I bet it is the biggest fish in the lake. I hate that Lake because it always lets me know that I am not as good a fisherman as I think I am. It can sure humble a man. Congrats on your catch. EVERYDAY IS A GOOD DAY TO FISH. | ||

What are ya'll talking about... I had my only 1st place tournament finish on Lavon. I have every intention of fishing that lake a little bit more often for bass considering its proximity to the house. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
