Mexico was a blast. Me and three others ventured south of the border to fish Lake Guerro.

I didn't take near enough pictures but here are the pixels I did burn.

Two of the three I had the pleasure of enjoying a great experience with, Dans standing, Erics sitting.

I called this spot the killing tree. We sat at this tree and caught fish after fish after fish.

The first day of fishing I think I caught like six fish. Our big motor broke before we could get out of the river, so our guide put the trolling motor down and we started fishing the back towards the lodge. That evening we switched boats. Made it out to the islands and our trolling motor wasn't working right (we had at least 20 MPH winds). So to say the least our evening trip wasn't that productive.

Day two: I switch guides and fishing partners. We blast off and run the river with very little day light (running the river is a RUSH) hit the main lake and started up another river. I start off throwing a Super Spook and start catching 1 to 2lb fish. Than we start doodle socking magnum lizards in the flooded tree tops. Our boat caught around 60 fish day two.

Day Three: I switched partners and guides on day three as well. Eric and I decided we had enough of catching small fish we were after a "Grande Piscado". So we told our guide of this and thats what we did. I caught the biggest fish of the day on a Baby Brush Hog. Fish weighed in at 4.8lbs. Eric took a picture with his camera (I;ll try and get it so I can post it).

All and all we had a blast. The accomadations were modest, wait staff was excellent, food was good and the company and laughs were excellent.

Congrats on the successful trip. I went fishing there in 1984 or 1983. What a blast it was.
