I went out Saturday and hit the lake about 9:30 - 3:00 I ended up with 23 fish most were small but I did hook up with one 14.5" crappie that pulled like a bass. Jigs worked far better then minnows. I was in 42ft. just off the bottom. Wally Marshall 5ft rod & 8lbs fireline with two jigs about 16" apart. Most of the bites were so light I was surpised I even knew they were there. Green/Blue & Pink/Blue jigs. I think they were Crappie Buster jigs. OzzieFish "In GOD I trust"

Cool deal Oz... I think my wife is going out of town this weekend and I want to take the kids fishing. Lake Fork crappie sounds like a great plan to me. I may even be able to sneak in some bass fishing while we are on the lake... Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Becareful Mike. Fork is pretty low right now. I've heard reports of Stumps in marked boat lanes. Congrats on the Crappie Oz! |

I agree Charles, My prop is being repaired right now as a result of a stump right next to a marker up birch creek. Hit it at 3/4 throttle. Lucky for me it only got my prop cause it sounded a lot worse. Good luck on your trip Mike. Lake Bonham would also be a good choice. It's low but I think it's high enough to launch. Crappie fishing is usually good down around the dam this time of year. If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related. I have a lot to do to uncover the boat with all the junk that has managed to pile up on it since Thanksgiving... Bonham is sounding a lot better though given the various lake levels. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

3.65 I believe. I used the link on my home page to go to the Texas Lake Levels site and recorded some of the normal pool and currnet pool levels then did the math and created a table to post. I'll start a new thread on that one. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
