My buddy and I got into the catfish last week on Texoma. We started off catching stripers and after they quite and we got tire of catching them we found the catfish were feeding on shad up in the shallows. We only had about an hour and a half of fishing time left but we managed 13 keepers. Here's a couple of pics of the catch.

I like the tailgate LDP. Dale would be proud. Congrats on the fish. What is the lake level and water temp on Texoma?

You rock dude... That is a great mess of catfish and now you MUST show me where and how... :-)

Connie was complaining the other day that all this bass fishing I do never puts any fish in the freezer... A nice mess 'O catfish would answer the call quite nicely...

Congrats...
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Level is actually only a couple feet low. We were fishing off a dock that night but I believe the temp is still in the lower 50's. The shad are so thick right now I think I could almost walk across the water. I'm thinking the warmer water temp is not causing the usual die off this year. The fish should be good and fat this coming year.

Whenever you get a free night when I'm off we can do it. The spot we fished can be accessed by boat and it's not a far run from the ramp we used last year striper fishing. I can only fish off the dock as a guest so a boat would be our only option. I don't recomend catching a limit though. I was sick of cleaning fish after 13 of them. Plus that gave me 5 bags of filets.

Thanks Mark. They're calling for a cold front to move through next week. With the shad up shallow it could make for a huge die off. Man, am I ever ready to get on the water.
