The speckle trout got a break today. Wife had to work so I ended up with the Dad duty of bringing my 'utes to the parade. Houma has a pretty decent parade if you are looking for the family oriented type Mardi Gras and not to be compared to the drunk flesh fest they have in N'awlins. Kid's had a blast. I got bombarded by a few friends who were riding. I was hoping to get some good float throwing pictures but like a dummy I forgot my memory card in the computer so only had internal memory!
I swear I'm taking a picture of the Clydesdale! :-)

Representing well!

Excellent coverage Bigun. I believe you about the horse thing... :-)

It looks like the kids had a great time out there. You know, the last time I went to a Mardi Gras parade was when your wife was twirling a bettan (however you spell it) in the parade.

Thanks for sharing some of the tradition with us.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Looks like fun. Well worth giving up a day of fishing.

Now that is defintly a down played version of the Mardi Gras Parades I remember in N'Awlings in the late 80's.

Looks like you had a good time.
