Anyone going this weekend? I have a charter Saturday. Would like to go 2morrow but my kids are out of school so thinking about staying home with them. I would bring them fishing but the gnats have been horrendous when the wind does not blow and don't think I'd fish very long if they are out! Will see.

Lake Texoma for me Wade. First true fishing trip of the year. I know what you mean about the gnats. I would look down at my yellow rain suit and it was covered with them. We did have wind most of the time, so that helped.

Good deal Bigun, I think it is pretty awesome you are able to get paid doing something you love and are so good at.

I will be on Tawakoni this Sunday after church pre-fishing for the Bass Champs event on the 11th. I'll take any advice from those who have been on the lake lately.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

More than anything, I am concerned about the water hazards.

Where did you fish Charles that was unproductive? I have two areas in mind to fish and both are fairly close to the State Park. I will not be venturing North of 2 mile bridge unless someone can tell me there is a reason to go up there.

No boat, so I'm going to BPS when I get off work in the morning. Hopefully there won't be much of a crowd when the doors open.

Speckle trout were a little slower today than they have been. Got off to a very slow start with only 3 caught the first hour and half of fishing. Still wound up with around 60 fish by 1 pm with one of the fisherman barely even doing what I would call fishing. He had never fished with anything other than a canepole and shiners but finally had him throwing the spinning reel by the end of the day when he was not sitting around drinking beer. If you closed your eyes you would swear Jeff Foxworthy was in the boat with you. He said he came here to drink, eat, and ride in a boat...not catch fish! :-) All the fish today were caught on a Tsunami Black shiner swimming minnow and a Berkley Sardine (believe that is the name of the color) swimming minnow with a dipped chartreuse tail. Could not have asked for two nicer fellow's to fish with and looking forward to tomorrow. Forgot the camera in the boat. Will post some pictures tomorrow. They want to go target some reds tomorrow I think so we will see what we can do.

Nice job Bigun. A man really has to love beer to rather drink over fishing. Did you tell him they have trips for guys who want to ride around in a boat and drink. They're called cruises.

Best types of clients... No pressure to find and catch fish. :-)

Good job Bigun, you know those waters so well it always amazes me when you catch less than 100 fish.

Ended up catching 55 today but the big picture is I caught 40 of them probably. Tim was way hungover off a combo of rum and tequilla (you gotta be a redneck when you are combo'ing this) and Mark was just on another cruise today. He would catch one fish and sit down and drink two beers and smoke a cigarette and just let me know that fishing just ain't that important. Great couple of guys to fish with and the stories just rolled. Some reason my pictures from yesterday just did not turn out and the battery was dead on me this morning. No pictures. Sorry Guys! Bringing some guys with CCA out tomorrow. Can't see them being nowhere near as fun as Tim and Mark but we will see! :-)
