First, I pulled a "Bigun" on ya'll today and forgot the camera at the house -- sorry.

The girls and I pulled out around 9:30am and headed to T-Wok to see if we could figure out some places for Oz and I to fish in the Bass Champs event next weekend. We got to the State Park and there were trailers in virtually every trailer parking spot and they filled over half the regular parking places also. When I paid my laungh fee they told me it was ok to park in the grass and I had no clue why she would tell me that on a Sunday until I got closer to the ramp...

Ignition was having their Tawakoni division tournament and then all the folks pre-fishing for BC had the parking lot packed.

We headed for the dam based on rumors of good sacks coming from over there but we were side tracked on the way when I saw a swarm of gulls working open water. It took a few minutes to put some sassy shads on the girls rods and Jessica was the first to land a nice monster sand bass. We fished for a while longer and the fish sounded so it was over there. We headed to the dam and waisted a couple hours down there.

Anyway, long story shortened... :-) We ended up catching some bass on lizards and spinnerbaits in a few big coves and called it a day. The wind was kicking and running across the big water was quite entertaining for the kids. We burned a half a tank of gas and were successful finding a couple of prospects for Saturday's start.

Jessica did bring her 35mm camera and we snapped some pics but the camera is still not full so it will be some time till they are developed.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Sounds like a great time even if you did "forget" the camera. :-)
Love to fish and hunt.

Sounds like you have something to work with for the tournament? Glad you got out and pulled a BigUn :-)

It's all about getting out PQ! It is pretty bad when you forget the camera however.

Each day brings on about the same results (limits of trout on Tsunami & now Berkley swimming minnows) so camera is not all that important. Each fish looks like the next. :-)
