Sorry for the delay, my internet connection at home is not letting me upload pictures, files, etc...

I decided to take a vacation day Friday and take the girls to the lake for the last day of their spring break vacation.

We arrived at the lake shortly after noon and the wind was rolling the water quite nicely. We crossed the lake and tried one cove with no bites so decided to move. It did not take long for the first fish to fall for the watermelon lizard...

We fished that area for a little while and played with some bedding fish that just were not committed to the bed yet. Saw some cruisers swimming around also.

Moved around the corner and start picking up some more fish on the lizard and this was the largest

I ended up with 5 fish for the afternoon and missed/lost 4 more (I feel like Wes). The girls never set the hook on a fish but they put a big dent in the bag of chips and knocked back all the juice drinks we brought. :-)

All said and done, we had a great time on the water together and I can't wait till they get the hang of this bass fishing thing...
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Great pictures PQ. The second picture looks real familiar but can't think what cove that is. Water looks beautiful and seems to be plenty of cover to fish. I need to make it up there one of these weekends soon. What weekend you have clear?

Great job Mike. Nice fish and great company.

I took my little boy (he’ll be 3 in April) to BPS in OKC on Sunday. He caught a trout out of their pond. We took it home and after his nap, we put it on the grill. My job as a father is done. The Boy is now Self-Sufficient.

Great job with the girls, Mike.

Bigun, both of those pictures are near Tinker's cove. Instead of going to the right when you come in, we went down the left side arm at first, then went around the point into the middle arm.

Good job Dru... I am still working on the girls being able to clean and cook the fish we catch... They are great helpers tho. :-)

That is what I was thinking. Man the water is down since the last time I was there!

Sorry about not answering on the clear weekend question. As of right now, the rest of my weekends are booked thru the second weekend in April. Some time soon I need to find some time to put new siding on the barn, tear down the patio cover, finish the kids bathroom, finish... The list just keeps growing. If you can make it up here, we will get to the lake.

Nice job Mike. That's a familiar seen on the area lake shorelines. Ray Roberts was 3-4 foot low. The lakes should have plenty of cover when they come back up.

That's funny right there... :-)

Our next adventure will be to Tawakoni in hopes of snagging into some sandbass for the table.
