Fished my first club tournament of the year today on Ray Roberts. Although I failed to get a fish over the slot I had a pretty good day with 8 fish in the boat, 2 lost on the way and 1 broken off in brush. Biggest fish was 22 5/8". I did not get an acutal weight since my hand held scale decided to quit working. I'm guessing she was between 6 and 7 lbs. My best bait was my trusty spinnerbait. Did manage a couple on lizards. Here's some pics of my best 4 fish.

As for how the others did. Lets just say I didn't win with 19 lbs.

Dave, I think Ron had around 10lbs. I don't know how the Friday guys did but I'm pretty sure that Travis Weick won with 22+ lbs and his partner came in 2nd with almost 20 lbs. It looks like I came in 3rd, but I think I got big bass.

You should have went out Friday. I think they are needing some more guys fishing on that end of the week.

Great pics Mark, glad you were able to get out there and catch some fish. Let us know the final results when you get them.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

14-24 inches. We do paper tournaments for slot lakes. That's how I got the 19 lbs.

Is it really? No wonder there are no tournaments up there or very few. That lake has kicked my butt since the day they opened it. I was there and zeroed like most the times I've been there.

2005 Angler Of The Year with a great start to 2006
It's not a first place win, but staying close to the top none the less. Great job Mark...

note: realized I gave the wrong award
