Colorado Elk hunt vs Behemoth Bass trip to Amistad I made the decision to take a trip to Amistad. I have been going back and forth on the issue for a while and had to make a decision before the 4th of April. There were many factors to take into consideration, the timetable – I could not go Elk hunting and go to Amistad in the fall (fall break) – I could not go to the Classic and go to Amistad in the spring (spring break) and the summer was out. My knee is still giving me trouble from where I tore it up on the mountain last year. Money. I am sure there will be moments of regret, especially as hunting season nears and the guys that are going to CO start to make plans. However, I am looking forward to the trip down south and will be counting the days. Anyway, I just wanted to post it. Seeing the decision in writing gives it a little bit of finality. Now it’s time to start collecting information on the lake. BassZone.com

Excellent Dru... I look forward to the trip report and you will be a lot less wore out from fishing than climbing mountains... Do you have dates picked yet? Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Sometime in the middle of October. My fishing partner is a coach/teacher so it will depend on his fall break. I hope to be sore from getting my arm jerked and my thumb roughed up. BassZone.com
