Wes is going to smoke him again! PQ will be stumbling by 10 am. Make sure you guys bring more than an 18 pack this time.

I'm going with PQ on this one. Looking at his tournament results it's obvious he has been sand bagging all year just to set Wes up.

Go get-em Mike. You're over due! lol

The boy is toast... I plan on kickin his arse bad enough to make up for the last 5 times we have been in the boat.

He claims I front end the boat... HA!!! Wait till tomorrow....

I have been holding out since he complains about it being a 3 hour drive for him. I start catching more than him each time and he will quit making the drive... :-)

pq, I have kicked your for the last 2 years everytime we have gone fishing. what makes you think you stand a chance this time? I might just sit in the boat and drink beer till about noon to give you a chance.

Hey Dru, I have been looking at his tournament results also, hate to tell you this but he has been fishing better in the tournaments then he normally does when he is fishing for fun.

I got everything ready and just need to hook up in the morning to whoop his butt... He's already making excuses about how he is just coming out to have a good time and drink cold beer... Wade, we may just be good and lit by noon and will give you a call again... lmao...

I'm may be feelin "FROGGY" in the morning... :-)

Charles, I'm still trying to figure out what you would school us on... :-)

Tex, you are dead on with the tournament. I am ready and willing. Maybe we can do it in May.

Come on guys, let us in on what's going on.

Here's my guess. Wes 18 beers, Picou 14 beers.

Picou called me around noon and sounded half drunk and was gloating that he kicked Wes' butt but there were no pictures to back any of it up. :-)

Dru, we talked about using the blackberry to give updates on the butt whoopin but we were having too much fun catching fish...

Tex, you are close on the delta but off on the numbers... Wes was so desperate for another beer he grabbed mine and started drinking it... We cracked the first one around 8:30am and were empty way too early. I think we made a good decision of only taking an 18 pack to the lake these days considering the drive home was always so misserable after knocking back nearly 2 18 packs in a days fishing. Now we just need to work on that pacing yourself thing... :-)

Wes and I had a great time today and managed to land a few bass in the process. There were still fish on beds and lots of fish that were not committed to the beds. I think Wes managed one or two sight fishing but the rest of our fish were caught just fishing structure in 2 - 4 foot.

The arse kicking started with me catching my first fish on a lizard shortly after we started while Wes was fishing a fluke. It was not until I was 3 fish up that he switched and finally boated one. He lost a nice one half way to the boat and then somewhere around 6 to 2 we quit keeping score -- got tired of him telling me he was letting me win today. We boated 20 fish today, lost a few, and Wes broke one off on the hookset. There was lots of smack talk, back-handing, beer drinking, and mucho laughter. Oh yea... sun burning also... :-)

All but a few of our fish today were on soft plastics. We threw some cranks -- Wes landed 2 on a shallow running crankbait. We threw spinnerbaits for about 15 casts or so. Wes chunked a rattle trap for a while also but no takers. I tried the Ribbit for about 10 minutes before going to the split-shot. The plastics that worked today were green pumpkin lizards, watermelon/chart 5" tiki sticks, and watermelon/chart tiki snakes.

Wes would not hold his fish for pictures so I did it for him on a few of his nicer fish.

Are you sure those are pictures from today. That lake looks way to calm for the wind that was up around my home today.

Great job on the fish guys. Ya'll two have got that lake mastered.

Looks like a great time. I wished I could understand what you guys were telling me most of the time while talking on the cell phone. Fishing was horrendous this weekend around here between the high rotating winds and tide going up and down so quickly. Thank god for the reds in the marsh with the godevil Fri afternoon and Sat A.M. which is pretty much a given most days. I'm not sure I want to buy this bay boat or not considering two trips and only about 25 fish caught out of it so far.

Had a great time on friday. It was a great day to be on the lake. We left the lake right before the winds hit friday afternoon so we timed that right. pq did catch more fish then me for the 1st time in probably the last 5 trips or so. I think we ended up around 12-8. I did lose one fish and had another break off on hook set.
