Gerald and myself finally had some time off so decide to go take a ride in his Blazer with the 250 Etech he got in October but only has 6 hrs on due to we have not got out of the godevils and gatortrax since that time. Along for the ride today was good friend Capt Jody Cenac who runs Welch Rental's offshore boat. We decided we were just fun fishing and went check out some new areas. The mullet and bait fish were thick everywhere we went. We started throwing topwaters and when we would catch a fish we would catch three fish and three fish only. Was the strangest thing. We finally pulled up to two points we caught 6 fish only on. And that was pretty much it! We saw a ton of redfish packs cruising in the bait fish but decided we did not want to target them today but was good to know they are around. We were back at the marina by 10:45 am with 21 chunky trout. It is looking like it will be a good summer of fishing from all the conditions. We pulled up at the marina to fill up and the local gang was hanging out and they started laughing at us about "3 Captains in the same boat, there must have been fights over where to go!" We just laughed. Some pictures: The brain trust at work. A few of the trout. A few of the baits we threw today. I got home in time to get the kids from school and decided to fry up some of the fresh speckle trout. Man were they tasty! With all the boats I saw being pulled through Houma today I think I'll enjoy my day off tomorrow and sleep in and just relax tomorrow. I'm planning on bringing my two girls out Sat afternoon to see if we can't hit that afternoon bite on trout that should be there with the full moon. Quit being a mad, little bald man!

Love those before and after pictures. If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related. My bass club webpage http://texbass.8m.com/

Da' gone Wade, you're tearing them up. Quote "Gerald and myself finally had some time off ....." I'm not sure that is exactly true. Great job. BassZone.com
