I'll be in my normal stomping grounds chasing trout tomorrow morning. Think I'll start off with some topwater baits if calm enough to see if can't locate some fish and then switch over to some double rigs. Suppose to have a redfish charter Sat afternoon and Sunday AM in the godevil but kind of sounds like he is trying to back out now. If he does, I'm sure I'll be fishing somewhere. I know Rob is going to PINS but anyone else fishing this weekend?

Hopefully I can weigh in some fish and move up in points heading into the last event.

Good luck Wes and Wade...

Wade, I might give you a call this weekend and see how you do today.

Wes, good luck with the hunting.

Mike, do you ever work, or do you just hold the all time HP record for calling in sick?

I've got some friends coming in town tonight from Oklahoma City, and they want to go down town and get inebriated. I don't want to be rude, so I guess I have to to what I have to do. Tomorrow, we'll be floating the Comal. Have a good one fellas!!

Bonham on Saturday with the wife and kids, then Bonham on Sunday for a tournament.

PQ and Oz, good luck at RC this weekend. The fishing is hot out there right now so it is going to take a big limit.

Well, the trout kicked my arse again. Hit a lot of good coastal spots with little to no action. I'm getting disgusted at throwing for trout when everyone else is just wearing them out. But about 10 am I had had enough and we pulled up stakes and headed back inshore. Had our redfish limit by 12 pm with a couple of large red throwbacks. The reds were grouped up and on fire. Guess I need to learn to stick with what I'm good at! Reds will be on the agenda on all future trips.

Trout can be strange. They have moved on and you may not see them for a while. - - They'll be back... Patience! That is why they call it fishing and not catching. If ya'll would quit keeping all of them babies you might have more to chose from... :-)

Dean, it would not bother me if everyone else was struggling but everyone else is absolutely slaughtering them. Seems like I go the wrong way every day. Just part of the "not" doing it every day on top of I don't bring live bait. Some reason it has really been a live bait fishing year. But your right my main problem is patience. They turned on around 11 am yesterday way after I had left from out there. It's all about picking at them until they turn on and I just can't handle that type of fishing. Don't worry our trout numbers are probably the best they have been in several years BTW and they will be making their last shrimp fling in the surf here soon and I'm all over that type of fishing.

Well my charter for Sat afternoon and this morning canceled so I ended up having to go to the wife's 20 yr H.S. reunion. OH JOY!!!! I just sat in a corner with a couple of the other husbands and drank as much as I could. Feel surprisingly good this morning though. :-)

Was planning on going redfishing this afternoon but my wife started the "all you want to do is fish" malarky so that ended that idea. So I did the next best thing and fried some trout from Friday. Quite yummy! Think I'm going take a nap now.

I was in Port Mansfield all weekend. Ended up with 52 trout, 3 reds, and 3 flounder. Fishing was tough in the mornings, picked up around noon, and then picked up again about 11pm.
