Well I took Susie and my niece Kelly visiting from London out yesterday. The day went well - lots of work though.

We headed out from the ramp around 11am without incident this time.. We went on a quest for Snapper. I decided to try the shark rig first to get a tug. We cought a few sharks and decided to move on.

We cought some King Fish -

Tried a few more rigs but did not find the snapper for about 3 or 4 more different rigs. Finally found a rig holding snapper. Here are Susie and I taking care of business - fish business that is..

We cought a big king that was too big to fit in the 128qt cooler so we let it go. We could have had many king fish but they wanted Snapper so we stayed on them. We ended up with 1 Red Fish, 12 Snapper, 3 King Fish and 1 Spanish Mackerel.

All in all - another fine day on the watter! 3 limits of snapper and happy campers were the prize

Once again great job Dean. Way to hammer them.

Maybe you should consider that bigger boat... You need to be able to carry a bigger ice chest with as many fish as you catch out there... :-)

Great job on getting the girls bit and their arms tired... Looks like everyone had a blast out there.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Dang I missed an offshore thread. I'm slipping. Now that mess of fish will eat very well. I bet the world record redfish is around one of those rigs, just has to be.

I'll take you up on that Dean. I'm rigged for some serious offshore activity with one 50-120lb standup rod 5'6", big sized fighting harness and 1200 yards of 65. The 2nd rod is more sailfish oriented with a 7ft medium action rod with a 4/0 wide and 900 yards of 65lb. We may have an opportunity to land a dad gum marlin or sailfish :-)

The sailfish will move in closer to the coast as the summer rolls along. July-August the waters go absolutely FAC.
