Man the amount of Texas boats over here has been unbelievable and in every nook and cranny! See results of day one tourney. Pretty impressive numbers with only six teams out of 113 not limiting. Of course if you can't catch two redfish here you should not be fishing these things.

Three of the top five are running all the way to Venice to catch their fish. Nearly a 2 hr run. Amazing. Boats were still all over today in area I fish. SE 10+mph winds made it rough fishing though I bet.

Rob, I'm not too worried about the Texans coming next week. I doubt they could catch a fish if it was thrown to them! :-)

LMAO! I'm hoping those Coonies over a Dixie Land are there. I love to hear their stories and the history of their fish camp. Never grow tired of that....great folks!

Be interesting to see the modifications they made to the camp. Those boys know how to engineer for survival out there.

Fishing for reds in Venice, it was always a nice surprise to sock a decent red while bass fishing there. I wonder how long it will take for the "green trout" to make a come back.

Dave, I'm not sure about the bass fishing in Venice. Have not heard much about it. I know the two storms have nearly decimated the bass fishing around here. I bet I did not catch 3 bass this spring up in the marsh and usually catch 5-8 every time go redfishing.
