I know that the Isle du Bois unit on Ray Bob has a fishing pier. But I've never been out there. Has anyone ever done any fishing on the pier? How's the water depth? I just wondered if it would be a good place to take the girls to let them catch a few bream while I hopefully jig up a few crappie for the stringer.

I've never fished it but there is always someone out there fishing from it. I used the ramp alot last year. I bet it be a good place for your girls. My guess 15-20 ft at the end.

It's a big long sucker and the water depth varies. I think its over 20' at the end. I've seen many a nice sand bass and crappie hoisted on to that pier, with the occasional whiskerfish. Last time I put in there (this spring) I watched a lady catch 5 2.5lb crappie on consecutive casts off the dock between the pier and the ramp.
Fishing is alot like sex: Even when it's bad it's still pretty good!
