Does anyone know anything about 1999 mercurey 200hp motors? Can the actual hours be determined by any computer in the motor? Does anyone know anything about the Ranger 250C? Wade - Do you know where LaRose is? I found a 25' Ranger there and am thinking about it. http://www.tbsboats.com/site_page_5760/ All In A Days Fun!!!

Larose is about 40 minutes from my house. Site you put on did not pull up a Ranger. Get me some info and I'll get you better info I imagine. I probably can find out something about the boat if you know the owner. Quit being a mad, little bald man! Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.

Go to "boats.com" Ranger 25' 25' Search 3rd one down. I emailed the se;;er but a broker is in the middle. The broker would have to arrange a meeting. If I get my finances right I might ask you to go give a pre-check before I drive down there - then I might ask you to test ride it with me.... Meanwhile - does anyone know about the engine type on the boat. Do they have a good or bad reputation? I also like the one in Ohio better because it has been fresh water and has Yamaha's on it - but it is more expensive and freight would be a factor.. All In A Days Fun!!!

Is it a mercury 200 efi or 200 optimax? EFI is and has been a rock solid motor. Optimax had some trouble when they first came out (I don't remember when they hit the market). The Optimax is an excellent motor now and gets better fuel economy than the EFI. My next motor will be an Optimax. |

I found it after Dean. Looks sweet. Looks like some saltwater series Merc's of some type. I'm not a big Merc fan but there are a ton of people in the saltwater world who love them. Let me know if you need a go between. I would question where it was for the hurricanes last year and any storm damage??? I would also watch the price being asked and the price it is worth. The blue book value is probably even high compared to the seller market out there for them. I know several people who has had to give them away to sell them. There is just not a whole lot of demand for these type boats anymore (at least in this area). Quit being a mad, little bald man! Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark.
