Connie will be going into surgery tomorrow morning to remove a large tumor on her ovary. We do not know if it is benign or malignant at this time but we will know tomorrow. I plan on being at the hospital with her for as much as possible and her mother will be helping out with the kids. They tell us that the hospital stay will be 3 - 4 days so I assume that Connie will be there at least 3 days. Tonight was very rough trying to get everything ready and some of the pre-op medication made her really sick. I thought we were going to have to admit her tonight but she is sleeping right now and I will only have to wake her one more time to take more meds before midnight. Guys, I will be completely honest. I am not too worried about the surgery in itself because hysterectomy surgery is old hat to these surgeons but the fact that this 8 inch tumor is cystic really has me concerned. Not knowing is killing me and my patience with the kids was non-existent tonight. Corey had the sense to go to her room and stay out of the way but Jessica had to be in the middle of everything and I could not handle it when the love of my life was lying in bed balled up like a baby crying or hunched over the toilet puking. I thank God that she has stabled out and is at least resting now. I am sure that some of tonight's issues were nervousness coupled with the barium from the CT scan and this huge mass pushing on her stomach and other organs. The next 6 weeks are going to be very busy for me (especially the next 2 weeks) so my contribution to the site may be limited. I have already been told that I cannot take pictures of the surgery and tumor to post on the site so sorry... Anyway, I just wanted to vent and little and ask everyone to keep Connie in your prayers. Thank you from the Picou clan!!! Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

You know the Henry family is always there for you guys. Here is to everything going 100% to the positive. Remember the kids are under as much stress if not more than you are. I'll make sure everyone behaves on the site. Just get us some pixels of some fine nurses ! Quit being a mad, little bald man! Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.

Surgery is complete and the 5 pound tumor has been removed. The initial pathology report was borderline so they did the full hysterectomy. Many samples were taken from various places in her body and sent for a full pathology report which we will get back in 3 days. The doctors said that the surgery went well and that everything inside looks great. Her post surgery treatment will be determined by the path report. I saw pictures of the mass and it was huge. No wonder she has been the way she has... Bigun, I was instructed to leave the camera at home but I may have to sneak it up here and try to get some nurse shots... Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. As I told one of our friends, the Body of Christ is a great body to be a part of... Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
