A guy I work with is holding a charity poker tournament for a 3 year old kid with cancer. He is having one online tournament and one live tournament. If anyone is interested in playing/donating here are the details.

Thanks

Wes

This week the Big O is hosting the Tanner Evers Charity Poker Tournament (Friday, September 8th at 7:00PM). We also have found a poker site to host the online tournament. Full Tilt will be the site and the date is Wednesday, September 6th. The buyin is $2+$20 with $2 going towards the prize pool and $20 going to the Evers family. Be sure to check the Big O Tanner page for more details on both tournaments. http://www.bigopokerroom.com/tanner.html
If you sign up by this Wednesday (Sept. 6th) AND show up on time on Friday, you will get an extra 5,000 chips. You must do both to qualify. This is a freeze out tournament, so the extra chips will definitely help.
If you are planning on playing in the tourney at the Big O on September 8th, please let me know ASAP so I can add you to the list. We need to know how many people to expect so we can get extra tables if need be.
We have already received some pretty cool donations from some generous people including a night's stay at the Strickland Arms Bed and Breakfast in Austin, Copag card set, Sam's/Walmart Gift Card, Deer Hunt, BBQ Gift Certificate, CardPlayer magazine subscription, a photo facial and microderm abrasion from A Beautiful You Med Spa in Austin and the poker table. If you are interested in donating an item please let me know.

Both the live and online tournaments for Tanner are open to everyone. There will be no cap on players for the live tourney at the Big O on September 8th, so be sure to invite some friends. We'll put up as many tables as we need for the tourney.

I have to fish Friday afternoon or I'd be interested to do it online. Good luck Wes!

I guess it helps to actually read it. I'll have to check it out when I get home.
