Well, on Wednesday we found out that Connie's tumor was "fully differentiated musinus carcenoma" -- malignant. This means that she will have to undergo 4 - 6 months of chemotherapy. We have a meeting with the chemo doctor on Monday to get the details on her treatments and find the answers to all of our questions. This is basically a precautionary treatment to hammer any possible cancer cells that may be in her body. As if that was not enough, yesterday, Jessica's horse was acting like she had colic so we called the local mobile vet out and he gave her some medication and pumped oil into her stomach. She was ok for a while but started going down around 10am so I went and picked up some more shots and we gave those to her. This comforted her for a few hours but her condition seemed to be getting worse so I loaded her up and hauled her to out vet in Wylie with hopes that they would keep her overnight for observation and Connie would not have to worry all night. Well, 20 Liters of fluid, several hours of waiting and walking the horse, and several pain reducing shots later I was headed home around 9:00pm with the horse because the vet had no way to monitor her all night. I was given 4 shots to give her throughout the night to try and make her comfortable and told that her condition was beyond what the vet could do. She had a 50% chance of making it through the night and I would have to keep her up to prevent a twisted gut. Connie and I stayed up all night long walking the horse and fighting with her to keep her from rolling. By 5:00am we were out of shots and knew the horse had to be put down. I called the vet and hauled her back over there to be euthanized and removed. Jessica stayed out there with us last night until 3:00am and finally went to sleep but we woke her back up at 5:00am to let her give Maggie one last hug and kiss. That was very hard for all of us. The vet assured me that we did the right thing and it was only a matter of hours before she died a violent death from blood poisioning. Well, I get home and Connie is now feeling like crap because she was up all night and tried to help way too much in my opinion. I hope she did not comprimise her insision. I certianly hope that next week is better. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Man that is not good times at all. Will keep the whole family in our thoughts and prayers. It has not been a good week for me either but not nearly as bad as yours. I woke up Tuesday with sore back. Progressively got worse all week with radiating pain down my right leg. My wife kept telling me to go to the doctor but being a man I did not listen. I thought I pulled a muscle and it would pass. I could not even get out of bed this morning without clinging to something. Come to find out it is a kidney stone with the pain causing nerves to send the pain down my leg. The good side is I'm now on Percocet's and feel really good. The bad side is I got to run two charters tomorrow and will have to be off the pain meds! Hopefully I'll pass it and feel better. Quit being a mad, little bald man! Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.

I've had a kidney stone also before and not nearly the pain this time as that one. Man, I could have shot myself the first time until the Morphine kicked in. That which does not kill us, makes us stronger! Quit being a mad, little bald man! Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.

Sorry to hear that Mike. I know it's hard on kids to loose an animal they are close to. Tell Connie we'll be thinking about her and let us know if there is anything we can do. If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related. My bass club webpage http://texbass.8m.com/

Our thoughts and prayers are with you both.. I tell people all the time what the most important thing in life is; it is not money, kids family, wifes or girlfriends..... ITs you health. My wife,Fishingnana, was told she had bone cancer on her 55th birthday 1 years and 2 months ago. After 3 sugeries adding pins screws and plates to her hips it all broke loose. Unbelievable X-ray. We thought she was on the way to recovery and last Friday it started hurting real bad again. trying to get in today to see the doctor. I know that it is broke again. The radiation and chemo may kill the cancer cells but it also created many more problems. Hope your wife does well with the chemo M&M Retires Afield

Dang Bluecat... thoughts and prayers out for Nana for sure. Connie has decided to go through with the chemo treatments and they start next week. I am not sure how I feel about this decision but I hope it is the right one. I support her and will do everything I possibly can to be there for her. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
