Yesterday, Connie took her first treatment in a series of 3 - 6 total treatments. The treatment itself only lasted about 4 hours but we were there for longer than that with all the pre-work and other things. So far, she has been fine but they said it may take 18 - 24 hours before some of the side effects start to come up.

Your prayers are appreciated. I pray that she does not experience the side effects that many have to encounter. I pray that Connie's white blood cell counts stay high enough to fight off bad bacteria. I pray that the body aches will be minimul and Connie will be able to function as usual. I pray that my children will continue to be strong and understand what is going on with their mother. I pray that Jesus Christ will continue to be with us and be a working part of our lives. Amen!
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

It has been almost a week since the treatment and we had 3 days of hell. A lot of tears shed, more moans and groans then I care to count, and a lot of worry. Things are on the up swing but she is still not even 80%.

Connie is insisting that I go attend the last 4 days of the hunt Wes and I were selected for at Richland so if when she wakes up today she is doing ok then I am leaving to go bow hunt. Her mother is coming over this afternoon to assist in all the things that need to be done around the house while I am gone. She was up and moving around finally yesterday and even went out and messed with the horses. Her good moments were breif but they were there.

Thank you everyone for all the prayers and support. She told me on Friday, "I would rather die than go through this again!" I will be spending some time talking with the doctor to see if there are some better pills to combat the side effects.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Mike - Yhis must be really hard for you all - I pray that the kids understand and step up to the plate to do what they can. It is a blessing that you have all of the support available and that things WILL get better. Count your blessings every time they show up. God has a plan for you all and we could never know what it is. Today will equal to more blessings down the road. God has a plan that we could not even start to foresee. There were things that were in the past that were bad at the time but turned out to be a good thing years later. God has a plan! I only wish we could know or understand it but our tiny minds are not capable of His vast ability.

Keep your chin up - pray with the kids - pray with Connie - keep up with things - keep busy - do what you have too..
