They were stating the server hard drive crashed on TRB and sounded like it was going to be down a while.

The hard drive is a goner. Everything is gone.

Please tell me that he had a recent backup... Anything to salvage some of the user database.

Maybe I should give Michael another call about server space. I know I can save him money and provide him with ample bandwidth and disk space which will all be expandable as needed. We have discussed it in the past but it has never gotten anywhere.

Rudey, if you talk to him please give him my email or cell phone if he is interested in changing hosting.

Everyone... feel free to discuss normal TBH banter over here as a place for an outlet. :-) I am game to see some successful hunt stories and pictures.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

For some reason, the hosting company didn't back anything up before they moved (yes, physically moved) the server to a different cabinet. The server never fired back up after the move. It's toast.

I think the most recent backup was from November 2004. Ouch!

A temporary forum is just now coming back online. It'll still have it's glitches as everything is tweaked.

Went hunting last night in Jacksboro. Wind switched to the north about 5 minutes after I got in the stand. Temps dropped 23 degrees (from 88 to 65). I was sweaty, underdressed, and in a BAD stand setup for the north wind. The only luck I had was hearing deer blow and watching white flags run away from me!:-O

So it was the server?

I thought it was the combined thread about the anti-high fences, un-stopable 5-1 Ags, and letting spikes walk that finally put it over the top. :-)

I'm glad they are getting it back on-line. My green screen addiction is not getting any better.
