I was in full acceptance of removing my name from the championship list for this tournament but my wife has other plans apparently. She and I have looked over the calendar and she has instructed me to attend the tournament and bring back the $50k first place prize... Well, she has at least given me authorization to fish. She claims that this tournament is different than a hunting trip or local tournament and she wants me to attend. I registered today for the event and will be confirming my lodging tomorrow. I hope to get down there and pre-fish for two days then just get out there and fish. Maybe I will get lucky and make the top 30 cut on Friday and still be in the game on Saturday. I'll do my best to provide some level of coverage while there but taking pictures always seems to be secondary during a tournament. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Good luck Mike! Quit being a mad, little bald man! Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic. I forgot the CAMERA!

You might want to call Bradley Stringer. He's a Texas boy and won an event there back in '04. http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/news/story?page=tourn_04_Open_LA_champ_day4 It wouldn't hurt to give one or both a call. Good Luck. I'll be headed through your area next week on my way to Amistad. If you need anything let me know. BassZone.com

Good luck Mike. Don't be afraid to throw a spinnerbait. If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related. My bass club webpage http://texbass.8m.com/

Tex, I am acutally going to paint up a few especially for that river and backwaters. I just wish I still had some 1/8 oz BullDogs. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
