I'll be fishing another club tournament Monday on Fork. I'm taking my brother so hopefully I can get some pictures to share. I don't plan on running much so there will be a lot of time spent idling from spot to spot. That lake scares me after hitting a stump last year in the boat lane in Birch. I'll post my trip results next week.

By the way is it just me or do you guys have a hard time getting excited about fishing during hunting season? I always loose focus once Oct. 1st arrives.

I know that Ozzie was out there last weekend so maybe he will chime in and give some pointers. Good luck Tex... Catch you an over!

I agree with the hunting statement. I am struggling with missing out on hunting by going to the championship. The only thing keeping me interested is that I may never qualify for anything like this again so I better take advantage of the opportunity while I have it.

I did not realize there were still secrets on Fork after all these years... :-)

Rumor has it they are catching a ton of fish on the new Gary Yamamoto Swim Senko. I have not tried these but I am sure they catch fish when swam right in front of a hungry bass' mouth... :-)

All I can say is don't call me for information unless you want to catch a lot of under fish. I'm good at that. Not much to report from monday. Fished all day in the rain for a lot of short fish. Only had 2 fish over 14 inches. I wish I could say it was tough on the rest of the group but there was some good fishing for some of the guys. Oh well, at least I didn't skunk.

Points is points... I wonder what that is going to do to your AOY status. How many tournaments are left?

Glad you made it back safe and at least caught some fish. I am going to work on my boat some this weekend in preparation for the bassmasters event and we may make a run out to Bonham on Sunday afternoon if the weather holds and Connie is feeling well enough to be left alone. It sure would make me feel better to run the boat a little before hauling for 4+ hours to a tournament.

Ozzie, it looks like the Bonham caught a lot of water from that rain and is now only 2' low. It came up over a foot in the last week.

If I take the boat out this weekend it will be to Bonham.
