I fished with Ton C or(Topwater)and an old friend Chuck or (FlappinChuck)and hooked up on some nice Crappies. We fished from 9:30 - 1:00 and ended up with 30 fish. We parked out in front of the dam in 42Ft and catching them 3ft-5ft off the bottom on minnows, jigs were slow. We did catch a few that were 2lbs. It was a good time had by all. We were cutting up a bunch so once we looked around there were boats moving in all around us. Heck one guy with a group in a pontoon boat nearly hooked our anchor line he was so close. I could have spit on his boat he was so close to us. We didn't mind we just kept on fishing. One thing to keep in mind when you get that close you have to watch us pee... There was no other way around it!! ;)

Ozzie we need to hook up sometime to go catch some of those slabs. Everytime I went bass fishing on Fork I always said I would rather catch the crappie! Trade redfish trip for a crappie trip! :-)

Glad to hear that Tom is doing good. Congrats on a successful time on the water with good friends and apparently lots of fish.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Sounds like a nice mess of fish. My dad and I were talking about going to Fork but I don't know if I want to fight the crowd.
If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related.

I would not worry about the crowds for crappie. Plenty of room for everyone out in front of the dam as well as in the mouth of Little Caney. Many of the folks in the other boats can be just as entertaining us. The more you cut up, the more company you get.....
If you are not catching them fast enough, just move 50 yards and fish there.
Thanking Him, all day long

Not for sure about the best time though I prefer to fish AFTER the frost is off of the boat....
I don't think I have ever went out there and not caught a bunch of fish this time of year. We usually fish the dam if the wind is strong out of the south; mouth of Little Caney if the winds are tolerable.
