Ozziefish and I were talking yesterday about growing the site. I have been thinking about this for a while now and finally went and got some business card stock and made some cards up to pass out at the Arlington Tackle show.  Your feedback on this card is certianly welcome and I will soon send off and get a box made and maybe distribute them at various tackle stores. Looking at the stats for the site, there is a lot of traffic. September 2006 -- 26,870 hits October 2006 -- 32,060 hits November 2006 -- 29,492 hits December 2006 -- 25,774 hits January 2007 (so far) -- 6,850 hits For October alone, there were 1,336 visitors to the home page. I am guessing I need to make it more obvious on the home page that we have a message board or forum. Please take a minute and look at the home page and let me know your opinions on how to increase the forum visability for first time visitors. One more little neat tidbit of info... Do a goodle search on fishing texas and notice that FTN comes up near the top -- 5th position when I just did it. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish | ||

Mike get rid of the "bass fishing, Crappie fishing at the top of the front page its not really doing anything but making it too busy. maybe move it lower. Mention "The Ramp" as the most popular feature "So Welcome to "The Ramp" It a great catchy phrase so use it more... Meet Me At "The Ramp" Where fisherman do the most mud slinging in Texas... Mike, I suggest composing an email and sending it to all the guides you can find on the net inviting them to post their reports. Break it down into bass, crappie, catfish and other species. Keep a record of email addresses you have sent to with the guide’s name so you can easily track who is posting. Every couple of months, send out another email to the guides who have not posted as a reminder that your site is available. I think the more guides you have posting, the more hits the site will receive and even more guides will post. Thanking Him, all day long --- tomc | ||

Card looks good. Wish I could get away and go help pass them out. I think as the site grows there may be a need to add more categories to the message board. Maybe bass, crappie, stripers, etc.... As far as spreading the word. I'm still available for a spot on the FTN pro fishing team. I'll even let you put one of those fancy wraps on my boat. If you're richer than me I think we're related. Tom, I did that back when everything started with the original site and some of them still post while we have picked up a few more. I need to re-visit that and get with these guides again. Tex, I am game to add more categories as the need arises. Consider yourself a member of the FTN Pro team but for now there are no perks... I can get you a new cap... Ozzie, I made some changes to the home page and mentioned "The Ramp" with links. I am going to change the flash so that it reflects the activity "At The Ramp" and the "Fishing Reports" section. I am also going to take the logo out of the flash because there is no need to have it on the home page twice. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish | ||

Just a random thought so work with me here. Why not have a member drive contest. Let's say a current member that recruits the most new registered members within a certain time frame wins an all inclusive trip to ElSato If El Salto isn't in the budget maybe an FTN hat or sweat shirt. | ||
