I have been a Big Game user for many years now and have tried many new products over the years that have always let me down.

What's on your reels?

What I currently have spooled:

12 lb Gamma Floro (crankbaits)
15 lb Big Game (general purpose)
20 lb Big Game (heavy jigs)

I ordered Vicious 12 & 15 pound floro and 15 & 20 pound Ultimate Copolymer to try out. I should have my new line in tomorrow and I will be able to fish it this weekend and return with a report on the quality of this new fishing line from JBS Fishing Lines.

I talked with Vicious VP Keith Nesmith this morning and asked some more questions about the lines and he told me that they do make their own line there -- not purchased overseas and re-spooled at the factory. Everything I have heard and read about this line is very positive and I am looking forward to being a part of the Vicious Fishing Field Staff. I want to try the line out and see first hand before I try to encourage others to use it.

Be looking for some product reviews for not only this fishing line, but also the soft plastics that I have started using this year -- JDC Baits...

What lines do you use?
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Currently have 12 lb Hi-seas camo line on both of my reels I use everyday. It's pretty stiff line and tends to not have a lot of memory. Noticed a big difference in it not wanting to pop in the spool which was a problem I was having with Berkley and Triple fish. Very satisfied so far. I know I straightened two hooks this weekend when stuck on the bottom and trying to pop the line!

Have the green 12 lb berkley big game on my spinning reels with back up spools of 14 lb clear Stren for when get to redfishing more. Both bought when Academy had the big spools on sale for like $15. As much as I have to re-spool them after the charters, I'm all about sales. :-)

Keep us updated Pq.

I use 17, 20 and 25 lb green McCoys mono. I have 25 lb. on my jig rod all year long. Have been using McCoys since December. Have not broken off yet. Seems to hold up pretty good. Probably some of the best mono that I have used. I buy it at Lake Fork Trophy Tackle.
The only problem is the stretch. The last time I fished, I hammered a really good fish on a jig at point blank range; the fish headed under the boat and came off. Never saw the fish. Ozziefish said it is the stretch in the mono that causes that.

I can't afford to try the floro at this time. Worried that I might like it too much. I have used big game before though it seemed that I had to change it out nearly every trip; was not very abrasion resistant IMO.

I normally spool the line out before every trip and reel it back up while checking for nicks. I have been getting, on the average, 2 trips before having to respool the McCoys and I change it out if there are any nicks at all. If I fill the jig rod up pretty full to start with, I get more trips because I can just spool off the first 10 yards and still have enough.
Thanking Him, all day long

I switched to P-line a few years ago for all my fishing. Since I am going to be fishing the clear water lakes around Austin I have started looking at some of the floro. Haven't decided which one I am going to try yet. I have heard good things about the gamma, the P-line Halo though. This will mainly be for my jig and worm rods.

Mike I got a couple of spools from Chris at the Vicious booth. 8 and 15 pound flouro. I'm going to try them this weekend. I also got some gamma and some of Berkley's new line. We will see.

You need to get me a couple of the Vicious shirts. I got a cap but couldn't talk them out of the shirts.
