Well - took the boat out Sunday but cut the trip short. The rub rail insert came out of it's place about 3/4 of the way from the rear to the front so I pulled it the rest of the way out, the built in tackle box locker came dislocated (broken) from it's mount, the emblem on the steering column came off, THe bilge was taking serious water in (again), the front livewell wouldn't fill with water, the rear live well would not fill itself until after I started running - filled it with a bucket! Whatcha think about that jazz!? I just picked it up from Travis boating center on Friday for other repairs!! I want my money back!! is that reasonable??

Has Ranger gone downhill that far? I have been hearing similar horror stories.
Love to fish and hunt.

Time to get your game face on Dean. Keep the temper in check, but make sure they know you mean business.

Today I took the boat to Travis. First I spoke with the salesman Mike Phillips and told him I am returning the boat for a refund - when he told me that this was not going to happen. I told him that I was prepared to fight it and his first reply was "well you had better find a good lawyer because we have plenty of them". Imagine!! I then spoke with the GM there and I told him that I want my money back - this boat is falling apart around me and it is wrong!(in many more words of course - no curse words - YET!). He told me that this has not been done before but he will express my concerns and desires to Ranger. I told him that if I did not get a refund that I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY POLITICAL, LEGAL, AND TECHNICAL power to impact Ranger boat sales. I asked him how many sales would they have to lose to compare to or offset them refunding me for the trash they sold me. He had no response. I asked him "how much impact do you think one person can have on the reputation and sales volume of this product and the dealer?" Agian he took the position that he will contact Ranger to see where they stand on this issue. This morning I called Tim Houk at Ranger and left a voice message for him to return my call but I did not hear from him all day. I will call him again tomorrow.

Guys and Gals - I am interested to know all of the fishing and hunting web sites you know of that I can post my issues in an effort to prevent any other individual from falling into the same pit I am in now. Your feedback and support is greatly appreciated. I need your opinions to help support my confidence in my fight. I need to know that I am in the right (or not). Thanks

Oh - and by the way - I found that the Jack Plate was obviously damaged before instalation. There is a crushed corner where it contacts the boat which has resulted in damage to the gelcoat on the transom - and the list of todays delivery is 12 items - this is after I picked it up Friday and everything was supposed to be fixed!

Fishinaggie88 - For sake of knowlege - what have you heard?

Barnaclebill - Didn't mean to miss your response to my wonderfull problem free Camaro! I love this car! It has a 350 (i think all aluminun) LS1 in it supported with 345HP. This is the 35th aniversary edition with limited production to 3000 units for the USA and 125 for Canada. SLP has provided the Centermount dual exhaust, high performance differential, bilstien suspension, and a few more extras for GM. For what it is worth - I was told that only 175 cars were made with the performance package on this car. - I did make a mistake though - I told my 13 year old son that if he finished college completely on scholarships with a bachelors degree that I would give him the car! What a Deal!! I save tuition and he gets an education!!

That seems like a lofty -- difficult -- goal. You better give him the car if he does that.
