Very nice boat Dean. That should help you get out to where you want to be a lot safer than the Ranger.

Ray Marine or Lowrance or Garmin

Sonar - Radar - GPS

What / which is the easiest to figure out and use?

Dean, I am partial to Lowrance but I know nothing about Ray Marine products. GPS is a must and if you have the ability to get radar it would sure be neat as heck to have. Most of the newer Lowrance units are radar capable.
