That is where I live. I have not got to fish it in about a month though, but for the most part fishing has been tough for everyone I know. The grass is dieing and you have to find the fish on offshore structure if you want to catch them. There are some small ones hitting up shallow early, but thats bout it. If you want to catch lots of fish right now I suggest Lake Nacogdoches. It is out of this world.

Lake Sam Rayburn is where my grandparents live. From there house you can see the lake in the fall when the trees don't have leaves. they live about 9 miles out of Hunington and about 9 from Zavala. We haven't been to the lake in about 3 years and i've been asking for someone to go so I can go see how it's changed. I've never been to lake Nacogdoches but I know there it is and know the area real good .

Bigboy, I just posted a report on big Sam. You are correct, BASS is coming but it is not this coming weekend but the week following. There will be a BFL Super tournament the following weekend.

I shot a 164 Lb Aligator Gar while bowfishing on Sam Rayburn about 10 years ago. She was 7' 4.5" long and 38" in girth. Does that count? :-)
