After dropping the three kids off at school, I went fishing late Friday morning with Gerald but forgot the camera. As we were launching the boat I was stepping up from the rocks to the dock and my right foot slipped in the mud and I ended up leaving my skin from my right shin on the dock. I must admit this is the first time in forever I cried and nearly threw up from the pain! It did not bleed at all but just swole up and turned dark purple. Fishing has been rough on me the last couple weeks.

After I finally got up, Fishing was slower than normal but we ended up getting on a nice run of fish catching 43 fish before was just ready to get out of the boat.

On the way home I decided I was hungry so guess what time it is!

Yes, it is crawfish season and the first time this year I really got the hankering for them. And Son let me tell you that they come out good. I bought 65 pounds of crawfish and 7 hungry adults and 4 kids nearly wiped them all out by dark. The 8-9 lbs that did not get ate that night will be making either a crawfish stew or bisque sometime this week. To bad you don't live closer PQ! :-)

I'm just kind of burnt on fishing so just stayed around the house and played with the kids the rest of the weekend. I imagine the trout fishing will start slowing down in the marsh and will soon have to start breaking out the bay boat to go catch them. But hopefully the redfish will start stacking up soon to save me some gas! Hope everyone else had a good weekend.
Quit being a mad, little bald man!
I've been bringing my camera.
Check out the Saltwater reports if you want to see some fish catching!

You sure know how to make us folks in central texas jealous. Nasty looking scrap on the leg there. Good luck with fishing. Gotta get over there this summer and catch some of those famous LA trouts and reds.

You're killin me Bigun. It's hard to see those sitting there while I'm at work. I know I could go through a few right now. The bugs look good too. :-)

I've got a friend that's supposed to be doing a boil next week. Can't wait.
