Fished Lake X this past Monday with my dad. We targeted crappie and ended up with 39 keepers. Fish were under the bridges in good numbers. We fished 2 different bridges and caught 20 at one and 19 at the other. Wanted to get a picture but the rain set in during the ride home and I didn't want to risk getting the camera wet.

I did bass fish for about 30 minutes before leaving and managed a 4 lber and a 3 lber. We caught a few small fish to go with them. The club will be fishing there this weekend so hopefully I'll have a solid pattern.

Cool. Picou and I did some crappie fishing on that lake one night. I don't believe I have ever caught as many fish in one night as we did that night.

We had minnows but it's too much work for me when they are biting that good. I was throwing a small jig next to the pillars and let it fall on a slack line. Once it hit bottom I would real it in slow. Fish seem to always hit while it was falling. We also caught some just letting them sit a little off bottom straight down. My dad used the minnows some but they didn't seem to hit them any better than the jigs.

I'm taking the kids fishing this weekend, just need to decide on Lake X or Lavon for the crappie. A buddy here at work said he had quite a few last weekend up to 14" on Lavon.

I need to have a fish fry really soon... :-)

The guys I work with have been doing good at Lavon. They walk into an area and bank fish. I've never been to the lake so I have no idea where they are fishing. Good luck if you make it out.
