Hello I am Michael with Hendrix Rods we went on a trip with Reel Fiddler Charter in Rock Port 3/29 we arrived at the cabin ancored in Baffin Bay at 7:00pm. Captain and mate cooked dinner while we rigged our rods we ate a good meal we would need the energy. As soon as it got dark enough the light was bright on the water the bait came in then the trout wow! it was non stop until daylight. We caught over 200 fish 45 keeper trout 0ne was 28", 1 Red Drum 36", 1 Black Drum 5#. All fish were caught on Hendrix Rods the Big Red was caught on the SJ 782. Thanks to Captain Mike we had a trip of a lifetime my father Sweet William was with me he said it was one of the best trips he had ever been on. Book a trip you will enjoy.

Welcome to the ramp Michael and again, congrats on what sounds like a great time in Baffin. Nothing better than a mess of trout...

So which 6'6' rod is the best for trout fishing with 3" plastics?

Hello Bigun the 782 really works well, also the 70ml. The 66ml is a new rod in our line up I think it would be the best. Contact me it is not on our web site yet. michael@hendrixrods.com thanks and Good Fishing. Michael PS I will post in saltwater next time. Mike thanks for posting the pictures.

Bigun, I have not tried the 66ml but if it is anything like the 70ml you will really like it. I may have to ask Michael to put some floatation device in the butt end knowing your talent for knocking rods overboard... :-)
