Fished a club tournament at legendary Lake X yesterday with my dad. I had one of my best days ever on the lake. I started off flipping shallow cover but was only managing small fish. I had one small keeper when I was able to put a 4 lb fish in the livewell around 9:00 so I decided to stick with the pattern. I had a limit around 11 but only one was a good fish.

The clouds rolled in around this time so I started chunking a spinner at shallow cover and managed my first cull, a solid 3 lber. A little further down the bank and I culled again with a 4 lber. I then went back to flipping and managed to cull my other 2 small ones for a solid limit weighing 17.94 lbs.

My dad had 3 keepers with a nice kicker fish. Here's a picture of his fish.

Here's a picture of my 2 biggest fish.

There he goes with the spinnerbait again...

Sounds like a great day and a strong limit for Lake X. Where's Dave's report since ya'll are in the hunt for AOY against each other. :-) Congrats on a great day at the lake and a nice sack of fish.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

I choked big time, I only had two fish for 5.22, I just could not execute at all, I lost two fish right at the boat that were at least 3 each and had another break off at the hook set. I probably caught over twenty fish easy but they were all short. I think the last time I caught so many short fish in the spring on this lake it was 99.
