Hawlin_Bass(Robert) and I fished the Texbass club tourney this Sat on the X, it was pretty brutal conditions with winds gusting up to 40 and temps that were in the same range most of the day. We managed to start the day off pretty good with my fist fish weighing 4.63 caught right at 7:30. We fought the wind all day and crowded conditions (two other clubs fishing tourneys the same time)but both of us managed to put together limits and Robert had a nice chunk that went a little over 5. I had a 15.2 lb stringer that could have been bettered on four diferent occasions if I could have gotten fish out of the deep reeds but I couldn't cull my last fish under two pounds. Robert had a string that was 14.6 and had a fish larger than his five come loose in the thick stuff as well. Here are a couple of pics.

3 pound avg ain't nuttin to cough about but you'll likely be sick after fishing on Saturday...

Congrats on a solid stringer for a misserable day. I'n not sure how ya'll did it but I am impressed that you did. Way to go!!!
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Looks like Robert and I finished 2nd and 3rd :-), I missed out on the top spot by .17 lbs :-(.

Top Team again Robert, We have fished together in tourney's twice and each time we came out as top-team, we may have to fish together more often!

Texfisher finished fifth so he will hang on to the top spot in the AOY race. Bombing that second tourney is killing me, hopefully it turns into a drop at the end of the season.

Congratulations guys. Catching fish like that in those conditions is something to be proud of. I was shocked at how tough the bite was on Monday. It was such a beautiful day that I just new we were going to have a great day. I had a limit by 10:00 that morning but couldn't locate any of the larger fish I had been catching. Ended up with a little over 10 lbs which I figured would have put me in about 10th place, so 5th place doesn't sound so bad.
If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related.
