Hey does anyone know how the fishing is on lake L.B.J. supposed to be going this weekend and thinking about taking the boat and doing a little fishing.

I've been there once. There are a ton of docks on the lake. I would think going as far up the lake as you can would be best. There will be a lot of pleasure boaters so be extremely cautious.

Well guess I will just have to try it out and see for myself.I figured that the boat traffic would be pretty high. Fish early get off the lake find a shady spot and the cooler and relax.

LBJ is one of the more productive lakes on the highland lake chain. Lots of bass and crappie. Crappie are very good right now.

I was up there last weekend and the water was stained...the report on white bass is they have been slow.

Well back from a nice weekend in the hill country on a pretty nice lake. Just managed to get one morning of fishing in caught 5 nice size bass nothing to bragg about but lots of fun. And yes there is a lot of boat traffic and it does get a little bit hard to fish but we had a great time just the same.Sorry no pics
