Nick Hastings caught his new personal best 2.11 LMB during the IBC club event on Lake Cypress Springs this past weekend.

Great job. How is Cypress Springs doing? My brother and I used to do pretty good over there but we haven't been there in a couple of years.

Cypress is in great shape. The lake is about 2 foot low but there are plenty of fish and they have been active the past few weeks. It has plenty of lilly pads and about 1/3 of the underwater vegitation it had back in her hey days. The only problem now is the pleasure boaters and jet skiers (but they pull real hard if you hook one of them).

Cypress continues to be one of my favorite lakes.

Sandlin on the other hand is about 8 foot low and not looking good. With all the rain we have had and TU still pulling water out of it to keep Montecllo at normal pool.

Great job Hastings clan on a solid limit and getting Nick his PB. Congrats to both of you and Kudos to you Dennis for including him.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
