took a friend out there for the first time this weekend... fished a few of my normal spots with little success. ended up at the dam chunking RC 2.5's and started catching crappie on them... We put on some 2 inch swim baits and wacked the slabs. we also had a mixture of bass in there aswell... we saw 2 other boats out there the entire day. not to bad of a day on the X | ||

Sounds like a great day on Lake X... I have not been out there since March I believe. May need to make a trip for a quick fix and try that trick down by the dam to load up on some slabs for the freezer... Thanks for the report!  Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish | ||

I was out there Monday the 18th and the fish were still in the reeds. We had a bunch of fish up to 6 1/2 pounds. I think the high water and cooler temps have kept them up shallower longer this year.
