Does anyone fish Galveston Bay? Once the weather settles down I will be looking for a partner to fish with during the week. Also - Barnacle Bill - I will be starting a project in Poert Aransas (Holiday Beach) soon. I will need someone to show me around. Are you interested in weekday excursions? All In A Days Fun!!!

Good Luck Dean. I have had some pretty good success down there at Confederate Reef and between the RR tracks and Causeway using live shrimp. Be careful going to confederate reef though as it is very shallow. I don't know the way in was a passenger in the boat. You might want to check with some of the guys over @ Texasrodbender.com as there are some guides that fish that area and frequent the site. Good Luck and bring back lots of picks. |

Big p - Ya know their building a new causway? The current construction is between the causway and RR bridge. I too have fished Confederate reef (once) but I am not sure how the guide went either. I'll have to figure it out though. I guess I could wait for someeone to go in and then follow them in? I took the wife out to the jetties Tuesday but the waves were enormous! We ended up fishing in the channel and cought some Sand Trout and 2 Spanish Mackerel. Never seen Spanish Mackerel in the channel before. Also I hear the BIG Bull Reds arre running now! Cant wait to go! I understand some were up to 45+lbs! All In A Days Fun!!!

Yeah Dean when we fished it back in July they were still North of the channel at the Causeway. We were fishing south at the third cut under the RR. I don't know if they are that far down yet. Haven't been there since July. |

Mike - I got it back and took Susie out. Washdown system is not working again, 2 new cracks in the gel coat about 12in long each, and the safety latch on the wench hook is falling off. I DO NOT RECOMMEND RANGER BOATS TO ANYONE!!! Big-p - At the RR bridge - are you saying the 3rd cut from the channel on the south side? I have never cought fish at the bridge but hear that a lot of people do. Do you free shrimp or use artificial? I guess that the current would determine which side of the RR bridge you would fish from? Down Current - right? Barnical Bill - Probably October we will be starting out project in the Port Aransas area. I will definately let you know when I am going to be there! I'm looking forward to fishin with ya! Should I bring my boat? All In A Days Fun!!!

Yes 3rd cut under the RR from channel. We free shrimped, used artificials and crocker. All I have ever caught in there is trout and flounder. Everytime I have ever been in there though the bait was almost thick enough to get out and walk on so the fish would have probably bit anything. When we fished there we were between the 2 bridges and the current was going in the direction to carry our bait under the RR bridge. |

Should have asked your cuz, I could have avoided all these headaches for you. I run four different bay boats during the summer. Blazer bay rules the other three! Scouts and Rangers are the slowest bay boats I've ever ridden in. |

Heck Wade, he didn't even ask his brother before he bought it. I still think he should get a new boat because of the gel coat issues. Seems to me that the gel coat did not take if new cracks are popping up. Makes me want to drive to Houston and vent in their showroom. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
