I see a lot of killing this season in Wes's future! Looks like the Axis are holding their own in pic #1? I bet you had a crap load of trail cam pics out there. Good to see they are hitting the feeder even with the excellent range conditions. This feeder over on the edge of the hill, where we lugged the corn (day before Katrina hit NOLA)?

Getting lot's of pigs and turkeys hitting the feeders. Not that many deer. The buck is a regular and the big pig has showed up a few times. This is a new area at the lease on the backside of where the windmill is. I gave up the 2 areas that you new about to one of the guys on the lease for this year. I might move back next year if I don't like this area. |

Nice pics Wes. Hope you get to introduce an arrow to a few of them. I've got a few more pics from my lease. I will try to post them sometime this week. If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related. My bass club webpage http://texbass.8m.com/

Yup, Wes has been whacking and stacking in Leaky. If I remember right, no one was serious behind the windmill. If I remember right, there was a low draw that worked along the west side of the big field close by? I think it might be a decent spot..both morning and afternoon. Staging area for the field, water close by and far enough from the river, axis may drink there pretty often. That water is probably why there are turkeys holding in that area. A pretty darn good mix and it's only a matter of time, hope one of those big axis give you a show this year. Course I'd smile ear to ear if you put that big Buck Medeley hog down. |

Great pictures Wes, you definately stumbled onto a gold mine when you got on that lease. It is a great place and you have some great lease members -- with limited exceptions... I look forward to another year of great game cam pics and great hunting stories. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish
