Charles and I will be at Texoma but highly unlikely we will make the Rayburn event. I don't mind donating entry fees but hate the thought of tossing away a couple hundred more in lodging, fuel, meals, etc... just to fish.

I wish ya'll the best of luck at Rayburn and I hope we all finish in the money at Texoma -- just hope Charles and I finish higher than you & Kay... :-)
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

I'm trying really hard to get Michele to go to Table Rock. I've always wanted to fish there...If that fail then Texoma.

I really don't like the lack of neutral ground in these championships..
Media has a Oklahoma *Lake Texoma* Division.. and the Deep East divisions fish Rayburn and Teledo Bend exclusively..
PQ you and Charles won't have to a whole lot too beat us.. I have never fished either lake
for blk bass. But, I like a challenge..
Just keep thinking my 5 will beat your 5.. maybe.... hehehehehe !!!
We had Fun on Fork this past Sat&Sun, Kay and I got into some Big Fish out Deep... no overs, but close...

I agree on the neutral ground... I am glad however that the Texoma event is close to the house. :-)

We are heading to Rayburn. The fishing should be hot in October down there. Maybe we can hook up with you Billy. We are staying at Powell Park Marina.

Billy, Powell Park Marina is where we are staying. I think its about 15 miles from Jackson Hill. They rent you little private cabins with all the boat hook ups you need. The price is very reasonable too. This is where I always stay when I go there. The marina is nice to with great food and a good ramp. I think the web site is www.powellpark.com or www.powellparkmarina.com but anyway this might help. If you look at the map powell park is located pretty much in the middle of the lake so should be a good place to prefish out of. Anyway hope this helps Billy good luck to everyone fishing T-oma

I've stayed here http://www.countryinnmotel.net/ before. It's only a few minutes away from Jackson Hill. I would stay there again. The lady that runs/owns it make a fresh pot of coffoe and has some type of breakfest roll in the front office for you.

Be sure and bring all of your rods/reels and valuables in your room at night. All of the lodges/motels around Rayburn have a very bad theft problem.

Wow, Thanks guys. I've never fished there. We're both looking forward to the adventure..
I hear it's a lot like Fork, but the best thing is. NO SLOT.. OOOOWWWW WWEEEEE..
Zach, do remember how much per night on average.
Charles, do you remember?

I like the Private Cabins best, but at this date you gotta take what you can get..

Billy, we rented the private cabins that are like hotel rooms two beds, ac, shower, tv, and a grill outside, I think it was only like 49.00 a night with tax and everything, but they have larger ones for more (which you will probably get since you and kay have won all that money this year fishing) haha the smaller ones are for us no fishing poor boys. Hope this helps you out man.

Yes, we did. But, nothing to write home about.
I launched Saturday around 2:30 pm fished till 6:00 pm just kinda looking around. We had a limit
maybe 8-lbs..
Sunday, we fished 7:30am-12:30pm.. It was windy
Big waves. Boated another limit, about like the day before..

It looks like everyone will be able too run the Lake if the wind stay' down.. It was real Muddy from High-Port West.. last weekend, who knows what this one will be like water wise. They have been getting some rain up there..

Kay and I leave out early in the morning..
Give us a call when you get in..
Are you guys going to the Friday night Dinner???

We will be at the Friday night dinner. I plan on fishing Friday and Charles will meet me there for the dinner -- where is the dinner...

Glad you were able to put together a limit pretty easily. I hope we are that fortunate. I'll give you a shout while I'm on the water Friday and see if we can meet up.

Sucks that the water is muddy up West, that is where I was going. I was trying to avoid a long run towards the dam or across the lake but we may not have a choice. I know the fish are still in that muddy water but it takes away my preferred baits and presentation.

Thanks for the update
