I am thinking about instigating a FishingTexas.net day at the lake. At this point I have no set lake or set format. The main intent is to get folks together and catch some fish. I wanted to hold a "Kickoff" tournament for the site but it is just not the time of the year that everyone has fishing on the brain. I will probably hold a FTN tournament in the spring with door prizes and cash payout. But for now we can just get together and catch some fish and have a good time.
What do ya'll think? I want to include the folks from TexasBowhunter.com in this also since so many of them want to get together as well.
I was thinking September 18th or 25th as the target date. If Sundays are better for everyone, we can do it on Sunday instead on one of those weekends.
Let me know what you think about this...

Can't make it dude. The 18th Jerry and I are headed back to shoot a fallow buck. the next weekend is the family fight at the farm.

Rudey, I still have not heard from Michael about posting over on TBH to announce this site. Should I send him another email? I really would like to open this up to TBH folks also but I sure hate to just advertise my site over there without consent.

I wouldn't worry about it right now Picou. With all the trouble TBH is having it might clog up the lines here.  We don't want that now do we. |

I am curious what server TBH is using. In the 3 years I have used this hosting service, I have only had 2 or 3 times I could not reach the server. He is using redundant servers for maximum uptime. It cost me a little more, but I have been very pleased with the customer service and the site access.

Bout time you told me about this site.
Isn't the Mcdonalds tourny the weekend of the 18th? That may be a good time to at least get a bite to eat if ya'll are fishing it. I am fishing for sure on Sunday and maybe friday and saturday. Dont think I could go up ya'lls way two weekends in a row.
I am going to fork on either the 18-19th of this month or 19-20th if anyone wants to try to meet up. It will be me and a couple of college buddies. |

I believe there will be a get-together at Rotag's house (TBH) on the weekend of the 18th, and hopefully, our Sportsman's Banquet will be on the weekend of the 25th. I would love to participate, though. This close to hunting season is just not the best time...IMHO. |

Welcome Javelin & Audra.... Thanks for coming over and visiting.
I agree audra. We might just have to hold off until the spring. I would love to make the event at Rotag's place. I need to tell my wife about it. With Wes and I getting drawn for the alligator hunt on the 11th, I probably would be better off doing something with the family instead of a fishing thing.
Javelin, sorry for the delay... I was just waiting for the ok from Michael to announce on TBH. I will be going over to TFF and doing the same soon.
