My 11 year old daughter finally got the monkey off her back and drilled a whitetail doe on her Kerr hunt this past weekend. It was very exciting for both of us and we had a great time. We saw 17 deer on this hunt and I am elated that she was able to harvest one. We did not see any big bucks while on stand but one lucky little girl harvested a 150+ inch buck Saturday morning. She was very proud and so were her parents. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Way to go Jessica. Congratulations. If you're richer than me I think we're related. If you're poorer than me I know we're related. My bass club webpage http://texbass.8m.com/

Unfortunately, we do not have any good pictures from the field or any good pics of the doe. With the rain and her going down in the cedar breaks & mud the picture looks pretty bad. Here is a picture of one that we got on trail camera but he never showed during daylight hours unfortunately. With the rain and all of the time we spent in the blind I did not take very many pictures. We were in the blind hunting for over 8 hours on Saturday and had some close calls with shots but that opportunity seemed to continuiously ellude us. We did stop off at Stonehenge II on the way out and take a few pictures to remember our trip. I'll get some resized and posted soon. Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Way to go guys! How many of us can remember our first deer. I do, with all the details. She'll remember it also and it was with her dad. Congratulations! |
