Jessica is doing great. She acts like nothing happened and still runs around the house and yard like she is not weilding a broken finger. We had it X-rayed this last week and it was healing fine. Another X-ray this week and then the following week, etc... Hopefully she does not bang it on something between now and when it is healed.
I could bump you up to something other than a minnow but I ain't gunna... You gotta earn it boy... When you reach 101 post count you will become a bluegill. Keep posting and you will get there... 
Just like kids these days... Always wanting something for nothing... just messin with ya' Bigboy...

They just got back from her weekly x-rays and the finger has moved some. Doc apparently was not very happy (there was debris inside the splint) and has emphasized the ramifications of not taking care of the finger. Until it heals, no playground, no running, no jumping, no nuttin...
Of course, Jessica was crying and all upset because she is bored and all her friends are playing and smiling while she has to sit out and not have fun... 
Looks like I need to figure out something for her to look forward to. I told her it would be an opportunity to read more, get better at her school work, etc... She didn't think it was quite that appealing...

Tell her if they cut it off she will have more mobility.
Sorry to hear that but it will be over before she knows it. At least it wasn;t her knee or something. I had mine scopped in high school and was on crutches for 6 weeks. THAT SUCKED! |
