Last month I finally decided I was going to get me a bluetooth headset. I looked all over the web and read tons of reviews. Several reviews pointed to the Jawbone being the superior bluetooth headset so I started looking into this unit. I watched some videos of media reviews on the headset and made the decision to buy one. I went on Ebay and got one for $61.95 or something like that.

Well, I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and the reviews are 100% accurate. This thing is far superior to any headset that I have ever had and the noise cancelation is incredible.

Sunday night I was talking to a website customer on the bluetooth and needed to fill up Connie's truck -- diesel. I left the truck running and started filling it up. In the middle of the fill up a dump truck pulled up in the bay next to me with air brakes and its loud motor blaring away. I asked the customer if he could hear that truck and he said nope. I could barely hear myself talking but he claimed I was just as clear as when we started talking. I got into the truck and closed the door and asked if it was any different and again he said it was crystal clear. He never heard the dump truck, the air brakes, or the door closing.

My truck is pretty loud inside and I’ve asked people while on the phone if they could tell when I stopped moving and turned the truck off -- none could tell. I was talking to Dean this morning and asked if he could hear any background noise and he said no. I turned the stereo up so loud that I literally could not hear my own voice and he said he could barely hear the radio. I turned the radio down and then turned off the noise cancellation and he could hear all the background noise then.

Noise cancellation is only one of the aspects that impress me about this headset. Comfort and weight are just as impressive. It came with several ear loops to choose from and 3 different cavity inserts to fit different ears. This unit is extremely light and very comfortable – much more comfortable than holding the phone to your ear. Sure, I can tell I have it on my ear but that is about it. It fits perfectly and stays in place. I jumped out of the boat onto the concrete a few times with it on and it stayed put. Wearing sunglasses and a cap does not change the comfort of the headset either.

Bottom line, this thing is incredible… It is slightly susceptible to wind noise but all other noise seems to be filtered completely by the technology they have developed. If you have been considering a Bluetooth headset, this is the one you should get.

Bigun,
My wife Michele is now working in two places Dallas and Houston so I was hoping to get a trip down there and do some fishing. Maybe she'll fly down for the week and I'll drive down and pick her up after we go fishing...

PS: Nice headset PQ now it's back to fishing ;)

I received my Jawbone and tried to make it work. As it turns out my Katana phone will not support the Jawbone bluetooth....

I hope they will take it back.. I sure am dissapointed...

That's a bummer Dean... I would consider getting a new phone instead of returning the jawbone... :-)
