Hey ya'll,
I'm new to this blog and fairly new to fishing in North Texas. I live in Trenton and would like to join a bass club for 08'. I'd prefer a club that mostly fishes the NT area. Any recommendations? This year I've mostly fished Lake Bonham because its close. I've fished a few times on Roberts and Lewisville. I think I see Picou 2 to 3 times a week on the way through Desert during my morning drive to work. I'm guessing thats him with all those stickers on his truck. I hope to see some of you on the lakes this year.

Welcome to the ramp Texashoosier. I'm the one in Desert... :-) I'm back and forth thru Trenton all the time taking the kids to school or going to Magers, etc...

I've heard of a Farmersville Bass Club that may be of some interest and there is also a McKinney Bass Club. TI has a bass club that some of the members post here frequently and if they are accepting new members that would be an option also -- they fish Bonham, Texoma, Ray Roberts, and many other lakes in the area. They have their meetings in Sherman.

I enjoy fishing Bonham and believe it or not, Lavon has some good fish to be caught in it as well. I can be launched in about 25 minutes from the house and usually catch some fish there. Texoma was a lot of fun to bass fish during our championship in October and I am itching to get back there and try it again.

Hang around here for a while, you will get to know some good folks. HotfootG3 lives on Bonham and I see him occassionally out and about -- saw him last week at Sports Authority and the previous weekend at the Bonham Walmart. :-)

Glad you found the site and look forward to hearing more from you. Hopefully we will meet in town some time or if you see me at the store stop me and say hello.
Thank you Lord for my family and the waters I get to fish

Welcome to the site. Check with Rumbanator and Texfisher, they have a club that fish the lakes you mentioned.

TexasHoosier,
Here is a link to my fishing clubs website. Our Club is different than most because a majority of our members are shift workers. We spread our tournaments out over a four day period, Friday through Monday, and allow members to fish on the day that suits their schedule. We mostly fish North Texas lakes with an occasional Oklahoma lake or two thrown in for variety. In the summer we usually have two to three night tournaments with two weigh-ins per tournament. We are always interested in new members so feel free to send me an e-mail if you would like to talk some more about "Texbass."
Here is my e-mail address and our clubs website address.
