Looking at the 10-Day once again and things are looking up for this weekend. Sure would be nice if highs stayed in the 60's for a while.
I may have to try it again soon, though probably not this weekend. I think my wife has a "date weekend" planned.......

I am stopping by Lake Fork Tackle and picking up some of the 8" swimbaits on the way next trip.

Anyone headed out to Fork this weekend?

I have really got it bad this year…..
Thanking Him, all day long

I'll be there looking for not a sharelunker but that red, black, and white skeeter with the two dysons in it. ha just kidding Billy saw you came in 2nd in the JCs good job man bet it was tough. Fished last week and caught 3 all day flipping a jig but the wind was a killer. Next day went out and threw a trap and caught 9 so you never can tell this time of year. If you get 4 keepers in media you'll probably be doing alright. Just wanted to give you some props man on a tough day.

Mike, I hope one of your girls hook into a biggin. Make sure you have the net handy.

I sure would like to see someone from this board donate a lunker. Best of luck to all!!!!
Tear em up!

I just interviewed for a new job. (tree service has been kickin' my butt) The interview went better than I expected. This will really be stepping out of the box for me IF I get the job. More details forthcoming if I get hired.

Thanks for the thoughts on the job front. Appreciate you all!

Unless a new job comes up....Looks like I am shooting for Fork on Monday or Tuesday or possibly fishing both days. I really like those days when the lows the night before are in the 50’s. I think the fish move earlier in the day when the surface temp stays up.
My thoughts are to dedicate considerable time on this trip throwing swimbaits and large spinnerbaits and then breaking out the traps if things are real slow with the larger baits.
Then of course, slowing down once I catch a fish and thoroughly fishing the area; maybe more than once that day.

Anyone else want to share their tactics for the upcoming weeks?

Zeeter... Charles has graciously agreed to let me fish with him again this year. It was a tuff sell but hopefully all my pleading was not in vain... :-)

Tom, I think you have a good plan. I'm not a swimbait chunker so that would be out of my game plan but props to those who do like to throw them. I would be working creek channels with a jig or Texas Rig and the traps over the grass on secondary points. If I make it out there this weekend that is what I will be doing.

Thanks Zach,

Yea ... it was slow.. and very cold,

9-bites was all I had for 5-hrs of fishing
we had 2-pull off that would have put us over the top for once.. Just wasn't our time yet I guess..

We launched, and within 15-mins my hands felt like concrete. So we high tailed it to the house ate breakfast and drank coffee until 9:30 once the sun got up good we headed back out..

Kay was letting me know she was not a happy camper at 7:00 am as we launched, you can just imagine.. She did not enjoy the event, and I'm
an idiot for entering that tournament..
hehehehehee !!!! All was forgiven when I gave her the cash.. cracks me up....

We'll make it happen, preferrably on a bright, sunny day. We need to talk about domain names also so give me a call sometime and let's get that part of it figured out.

near five months now Picou can you believe it. And as far a quick study. Hell man I was an Honor Graduate by the time we stepped off the plain in the Bahamas :-)... we had to only stay 4 days cause I had to get back for media in August hehehehe. As much as I like setting on the beach drinking cold ones... I like that bass fishing a whole lot more.
