Dad gum-it ... I knew it was White Oak..
But PQ. guessed it before I saw the post .... you sap-sucker

Your gonna have some company up there this year Zach.
Sinky is fishing all the Medias this year,
he's taking a year off Champs to fish Fork.. No worries for you, that's your stomping grounds.

Kay and I had a lot of company after that first Feb tourney, but it still worked out.
I'm worried about the OZ man.. They rocked last year, him and Michele are due.

This will be a fun season with everyone knowing each other.
And it's a great group of anglers too know, I'm proud of that.
Good people are far and few these days.

If it is where I think it is, I use to know that area really well. Last year was the first time in over 5 years that I went into White Oak. Rick Carter took us in there and that was the only time I ventured into the cove. There are so many great spots on Fork and it's hard to believe that there are still 10 or more creeks that I have never been into on Fork -- been fishing the lake for almost 15 years now.

Billy, you are correct about it being a fun season and a great group of anglers. The fellowship after the tournament is something I look forward to each month.

C'mon February 16th... Let's get this party started!!!!!!! :-)

You all are going to have a blast out there this year, I can tell. Hopefully I will be able to join in on the Saturday fun once in a while.
It would be great to see several teams on this board make it in the top 10 or 5 for that matter.
Good luck to all.

Yeah I read that Sinkey is gonna fish media instead of Champs that just adds one more stick to the game. I know you and Kay aint worried. Heck nobody should be worried thats were you get gotten. I think fishing is 80% mental. I read somewhere that said most anglers are beaten before they ever leave the ramp. It said they see bigger boats, guys with sponsors and stuff like that and get the mentals going on. Anyway should be a good year and cant wait to see what goes down. :-)

He's a friend that will go out of his way to help.

He has a trailer over in Clear View, that place across from Axtons. I see and talk too him a lot.

Notice he paid his entry early so he could be right on my backside at take-off..
You'll like'm..
He loves White Oak,and Penson.
You may have too bumper boat him out of your spots.

I dont mind a little bumper boats as long as the fish are biting. I dont even know where I'm goona start at. (Still up in the air) haven't found that good of concentration of tourney fish. Mostly slots and that aint gonna pay the bills. Don't think the males have moved up as good as they will be, come say two weeks. I'm just ready to let that yamma mamma ring out. :-)

For the last 4-weeks or so, I've been thinking any time now !!!!! But NADA..

I haven't fished deep very much this year.. When I say deep, I mean 25-35 foot.
I have a little, but not much return for the effort.

I guess I'm starting in the back yard, or Birch.
I haven't got much to go on either... YET.

I hope that changes in the next couple of weeks.

Plenty of time left to make a game plan. It's too early to predict the weather or the fish at this point.

We may just end up shakey headin the bridges... :-)

Bridge corners??? Geezzz that's totally LAME.

You two can do WAY better than that !!

Save those bridge corners for the desperate, I need a fish too fill my limit times..

There pretty bare at the moment, I already checked'm out. hehehehehe !!!!

My back yard is AWESOME when there isn't 49 boats in there....
That isn't very often in the spring, they line up
coming and going. It's amazing sometimes.

Man, this gonna be fun this year. IF I can find some fish.

Billy where do you stay? We stay in Popes (mustang) in a trailer but my parents have a big spread over in the west arm past axtons and rainswood. Thats why I usually hunker down up that way....to much traffic around caney and glade.

My house is in Penson Bay.
My back yard is where Larry Barns caught Valentine..
I don't know how he ever got her in the boat with all the Timber that must have been there back then.
It's still there, just under the water now.
A few trees still remain above the water but nothing like it was back then.

In March and April it's a mecca for bed fisherman, they show up buy the hundreds every week.
I don't sight fish , unless I see it's a HUGE fish. I like too blind cast to deeper water fish in 4-7 foot looking for the fat girls out beyond my visual..

Most of the big fish are where many of the boats are (actually under their boat) when they're sight fishing.. I can throw in their wake and catch a hog..
Boy does that TEE them off.. I love it, and I'll give'm a smile as I slip her back in the water.. hehehehehe !!!

Yeah, I love Pinson man there's been some monsters come out of there. You aint whistling dixie about the timber, I almost cry every time I have to take that pretty skeeter up in there. Some of the biggest fish I have caught have been that way, out deeper where most are trolling down through. One of the biggest was in liitle caney, I saw just an orange spot down deep i mean like 8-9 foot. Flipped over on it and then it was like a huge shadow just came lurking over. Tap and the fight was on boy. She weighed 11 but still a hog and didn't even no she was there.

When I was guideing on Alan Henry the water was so clear you could see those big sals bedding in 10-15 ft of water.... you talk about a sight fishing paradise. Thats one of the main reasons that the lake actually caught fork in share a lunkers and the fact that not many people knew about it back then.
